Django apps 04.04.2007
The tagging implementation I’m using right now is a home grown one that’s explicitly tied to the blogging app in my Django install. I should change that.
This tagging app is something I want to convert my existing tagging infrastructure into. This allows for any single object to be tagged — I don’t need to specifically define foreign keys or anything.
If in the future I have different types of objects in the site other than the normal ‘entry’ object (such as a photo gallery, perhaps, or podcast, media download, etc.), in much the same way that Django’s freecomments allow me to attach comments to any single object, I can attach tags to any single object.
