Harry Potter smoking on stage 02.26.2007
There’s a recent story about criticisms thrown against Daniel Radcliffe for smoking on stage in his new play, Equs.
From the article:
Amanda Sandford from anti-smoking organisation ASH, said: “It is regrettable that he is smoking, whatever the circumstances. He is a role model for young people and if he decided to take up smoking in real life that would be of great concern,” the paper reported.
So, Radcliffe smokes on stage = bad. He is a role model for children, and if he took up smoking in real life, children might think it’s okay.
I get it. I see the concern.
But what about making passionate horse-love in the nude?
I suppose it’s because there’s no concern about Radcliffe succumbing to the tender touches of bestiality.
