Sun Drop 07.31.2007

A co-worker brought in some Sun Drop soda today. According to Wikipedia:

While extraordinarily popular in the Carolinas, the Jackson Purchase area of western Kentucky, south-central and northeastern Wisconsin, the Tennessee Valley and the Rolla, Missouri, area, Sun Drop remains relatively unknown in most of the United States.

As described in the article, it does indeed taste like a version of Mountain Dew. I’m not sure about the stronger taste, but I do like the orange juice.

She also brought in some Cheerwine, which I haven’t tried yet.

Later on:

Just tried it, and true to the article, the carbonation was much stronger than normal. I’m not a big fan of cherry flavored sodas in general, however, and was certainly not swayed in my opinion by the cherry in Cheerwine.
