Apparently, there are people out there who will toggle the caps lock key to type capital letters rather than simply pressing shift. Smart people, even. Technologically savvy people, even. The mind boggles.

Nah, talking friends revealed that one of them has a co-worker who toggles the caps lock key every time he wants a capital letter.
"Out of habit" apparently. Though I'm not sure how you get into that habit in the first place.
